Homemade Blueberry Pie

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Toss until the blueberries are evenly coated.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any excess dough hanging over the edges.
  4. Pour the blueberry mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
